That is exactly the approach of agur.app: We do not invent answers. We gather them — from the Bible and from verified sources. Every answer is linked back to the original source so you can verify it yourself.

Our mission

Source-bound

Every statement is linked to the original source. No opinions, no guesswork.

Transparent

You always see where an answer comes from. Green, yellow, or grey indicate the verification status.

Trustworthy

When no source is found, Agur says so honestly. No hallucinating, no guessing.

How does Agur work technically?

about.howSubtitle

The process in 4 steps:

  1. 1
Analyse question: Your question is semantically analysed to identify the most relevant Bible texts and publications.
  2. 2
Retrieve sources: Matching passages are retrieved from the verified source index — including Bible texts, articles, and study references.
  3. 3
Generate answer: The AI formulates an answer based exclusively on the retrieved sources. Every statement is provided with a source reference.
  4. 4
Verify evidence status: A verification module assesses whether each statement is fully sourced (green), partially sourced (yellow), or unsourced (grey).

The result: You never get an answer the AI simply "invented." If no matching source is found, Agur says so openly — instead of hallucinating.

The 5-tier source model

Not all sources are equal. Agur uses a 5-tier authority model to ensure that answers are always based on the most reliable available sources.

1

Canonical

The Bible itself (New World Translation). Highest authority. Every answer is first measured against the Holy Scriptures.

2

Approved

Current, officially published publications. Watchtower, Awake!, study material, brochures. Source references include title, date, and page.

3

Archive

Older publications that are no longer current. Used only in Historical Compare mode and marked as archive material.

4

Draft

Sources not yet released that are in the review process. Never used in standard answers.

5

Withdrawn

Sources that have been corrected or withdrawn. Removed from the active index and no longer cited.
